The 2009 Annual Hotpot and Presentation Night

The 2009 Annual Hotpot and Presentation Night took place last Friday, 16th October. Again the event was well attended by players and non-players. Each captain gave a review of their season and then the awards were presented by Cricket Chairman, Chris Wylie and Secretary, Tom Hughes.

The Awards

1stXI Awards
Batting Sean Vandome
Bowling Rob Houghton
Rob Houghton (left) reviewed the First XI season and the awards went to Sean Vandome (below left) for batting and Rob Houghton (below right) for bowling

2ndXI Awards

Bowling Matt Pownall
Iain Squires (left) reviewed the Second XI season and the awards went to Peter Jones (below left) for batting and Matt Pownall (below right) for bowling

3rd XI Awards

Bowling Vince Abel
James Pearce (far left) reviews the Third XI season and with batting award winner Matt Childs being in Australia, he is just left to present the bowling award to Vince Abel (left)

4thXI Awards

Bowling I Williams
The Fourth XI season was reviewed by Robin Surtees left, with a musical accompaniment for part of it!! The awards were presented to Kevin Walton (below left) for batting and Iwan Williams (below right ) for bowling.

5thXI Awards

Batting Adam Flynn
Bowling Mark Garnett
The Fifth XI review of the season came from Jamie Bowman (far left) and the batting award went to Adam Flynn (left). Mark Garnett won the bowling award but was unable to attend
There were no fielding awards this year but special mentions went to Adam Brennan in the Fifth XI and Adam Taylor in the Fourth XI.

Club Player of the Year

Player of the year went to skipper Rob Houghton who scored 538 runs and took 74 wickets in the league.

Performance of the year went to Peter Jones for his two Second XI hundreds

Junior Player of the Year
Sean Vandome won the Junior Player of the Year, presented by Howie Baird
