The Sefton Park indoor team led by Daniel Kelly have won the Liverpool Indoor League at St Margeret's Cricket Centre after beating Liverpool off the last ball to claim their second consecutive title following earlier wins over Alder, Liverpool University, Wavertree and Old Xaverians. The players involved were Chris Dye, Sean Vandome, Paddy Stern, Rob Houghton, Rob Supria, Iain Squires, Adam Flynn, Andrew Foulder, Matt Pownall and Matt Garnett. Well done to all

Sefton Park beat Heaton from the Bolton League in North West indoor cricket final on Sunday 8th January. Captain Daniel Kelly won the toss and inserted Heaton, bowling them out for 85 in 11 overs. Pick of bowlers being Daniel himself (2-8 off 3 overs) and Rob Houghton (2-14 off 3). Sean Vandome then ran himself out for one but Paddy Stern (27 retired) and then Rob Supria (11), Chris Dye (15) and Rob Houghton (17 not out) saw Sefton home with 2 overs to spare.

Sefton Park then travelled to Durham to play Blaydon on 5th February,Sefton Park lost to Blaydon, last years losing finalists, in the County Play off match to see who reached the Northern Finals at Derby. Blaydon batted first and scored 128 for 3 in 12 overs with Matty Pownall taking 2 wickets wickets. In reply Matty was the highest scorer with 25 as Sefton were dismissed for 70. Despite the defeat, it has been an excellent winter's cricket for the team.
