Liverpool Half Marathon

This Sunday, 17th March, 18 Sefton Park players are running the Liverpool Half Marathon in full cricket kit including two batsmen, a wicket-keeper and umpire to raise money for CALM in memory of Alex Miller. As the route passes the club at the four mile mark, they will divert to play an over before rejoining the race before passing close to the lower ground at around seven miles.

Come down and support the boys - and the other runners - at the club. We'll have hot breakfast available and hot and cold drinks - plus entertainment from Formby Brass Band and other fun!

The run starts by Pier Head at 9am so don't be late seeing these finely tuned athletes passing the club.

After the race, welcome back Sefton's runners from the Liverpool Half Marathon. Food will be available for supporters as the runners "re-carb" before an Indoor Decathlon in the afternoon. Get brushing up your skills in pitch and toss, darts and limbo (amongst others) to show who the real athletes are!

You can sponsor the lads at: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/spccandcalm or the runners and the club have hard copy sponsorship forms!

Congratulations to Half Marathon Runners

Congratulations to all Sefton Park runners who ran in the Liverpool Half Marathon. The runners were running for the charity C.A.L.M. in memory of Alex Miller.

They ran in full cricket kit and broke off from the run to bowl an over on the main ground.

Thanks to all who took part and helped at the club. A special "thank you" goes to Louise Hough and the Formby Brass Band who entertained the runners for an hour.
