No Fifth XI game this week and all the other teams won. The First XI made it five wins out of five in the league, last year they only won four league games all season.

Prestatyn were the visitors to Sefton Park for the First XI game. The Welsh side won the toss and asked Sefton to bat first. There were runs for all the batsmen, Richard Forsyth scored 86, Adam Irwin 39, John Jackson 64 not out, Sean Vandome 43 and Paul Eastham 21 not out as they decided to go past the 55 over mark for the extra bonus points and declare 23 runs and eight ball later on 268 for 3. The Second XI travelled to Crosby to play Northern. They won the toss and decided to bat first. They started with a stand of 64 between Dan Coonan (22) and Luke Connolly who went on to make 58 but then collapsed to 117 for 8. A stand of 55 for the 9th wicket between Matt Garnett (28) and Mark Chappell (28 not out) enabled them to declare on 172 for 9 in 49 overs. Unfortunately, the Northern skipper, Bryn Abraham, broke his ankle whilst fielding causing a long interruption during the Sefton Park innings, we hope he makes a quick recovery. The home side reached only 75 in reply in 34.2 overs, Phil Calrow taking 3 for 18, Matt Garnett 2 for 12 and Mike Pritchard 2 for 0.
