Thursday 9th June....Progress in National T20

Sefton Park moved into the regional quarter final of the NatWest Club T20 with a win over Premier Division Colwyn Bay at Sefton Park.

The game started late and was reduced to 15 overs a side after some eveing rain. The visitors won the toss and asked Sefton to bat first. An opening stand of 57 in 5 overs set them up for a respectable 131 for 8 in their 15 overs. Top scorers were openers Sean Vandome with 23 and James Baird 32 and Richie Conlan 33.

The Colwyn Bay innings never really looked like matching the Sefton Total and they were dismissed for 70 in 13 overs with Joe Francis taking 4 for 21, Rob Houghton 2 for 15 and Daniel Kelly 2 for 1.

Sefton now play at New Brighton in the next round.
