Saturday 3rd June.... Win over Skelmersdale

The First XI welcomed Skelmersdale to Sefton Park. The visitors won the toss and decided to bat first. They made a steady start reaching 17 in 8 overs when the first wicket fell but after that they fell regularly as the reached 112 all out in the 43rd over. Shakeem Clarke was the pick of the bowlers taking 6 for 32, Daniel Kelly bowled 15 overs taking 2 for 32.

In reply, the Sefton openers did not look in trouble until Sean Vandome was out to an excellent catch for 43, skipper Richie Forsyth (40 not out) and James Baird (19 not out) then led the side to a 9 wicket victory.

The Second XI made the same journey as the First XI made last week to Birkenhead Park and achieved a similar result.

Birkenhead Park won the toss and decided to bat first. They were dismissed for 121 in 39.4 overs. with Joe Francis taking 5 for 28 and Robin Brown 4 for 54. Sefton passed the Birkenhead score with three wickets down, Dave Hort (48 not out) and Luke Connolly (36) were top scorers.

Neil Disley's ND XI played Wallasey's Thirds on the Lower Ground. The game followed the pattern of the First XI game on the Upper Ground. Wallasey won the toss and decided to bat first. They put up some resistance from the first three batsmen but after that wickets fell quickly with Damien Mee taking 5 for 22 and Muhammad Haroon 3 for 14, Wallasey were dismissed for 111 in 40 overs. Sefton's openers both made half centuries in reply, Connor Melia scored 52 and Phil Birch 52 not out. as Sefton won by 7 wickets in the 23rd over

Charlie Daniels's CD XI played Northern's GK XI in Crosby. Northern batted first and were dismissed for 74 with Chris Mitchell taking 6 for 35 and Joe Taylor 4 for 19. Sefton had no trouble in reaching the total without losing a wicket. Adam Taylor scored 31 not out and Sumraiz Butt 41 not out

The only team not to win was the Fifth XI who put up a good performance at Caldy against their DW XI

Caldy batted first and scored 189 for 9 declared in 45 overs with Adrian O'Hara taking 3 for 34 and Danny Wright 3 for 45. In reply Sefton started well with Rob Kennedy scoring 43 and Ajay Mehta scoring 44 but they then lost wickets quickly and were dismissed for 160 in 46,1 overs
