Sunday 25th June...Third XI through to Semi-Finals of Mike Leddy Cup

The Third XI captained by Adam Taylor moved into the semi finals of the Mike Leddy Cup with a win over Goodlass. Sefton won the toss and asked Goodlass to bat first. They restricted them to 162 for 9 in 40 overs with Chris Mitchell taking 4 for 34 and Damien Mee 2-31. In reply, Adam Taylor and Michael Row put on 104 for the first wicket before Michael was out for 43, they then moved on to 145 for 2 when Adam was out for 62 (223 runs for the weekend). Harry Wright (16 not out) and Neil Disley (14 not out) then steered them to a 8 wicket victory in 29.3 overs. They are now scheduled to play Northern at Sefton Park on 16th July in the semis

The Sunday XI remain top of the First Division (South West) despite a narrow defeat at Alder. Sefton won the toss and asked Alder to bat first. They were dismissed in 47.4 overs for 163 with Liam Naylor taking 4 for 36, Danny Wright 2 for 23 and Paddy Kendall 2 for 1. In reply Sefton fell 3 runs short, being dismissed for 160 in 35.2 overs with Pierre Gill scoring 53, Paddy Kendall 36 and Liam Naylor 20
