Saturday 17th June.....Paul Horton Stars with All Round Performance

The 1stXI visited Huyton and achieved an excellent 6 wicket victory. Sefton won the toss and put Huyton in to bat and soon brought Paul Horton on to bowl. He went on to bowl nearly 20 overs and took 6 for 52 as the home side were dismissed for 132. In reply Paul scored 64 not out as he and Ben Moore, who scored 56, led Sefton to victory.

The 2ndXI could not produce another winning run chase but managed a draw against Ormskirk at Sefton Park. The visitors batted first and scored 236 for 7 declared with Phil Calrow taking 4 for 76. In reply Paul Squires scored 20 but it was Ted Williams with 30 not out and Ian Seabury with 38 not out who made sure of the draw.

There were some fine performances in the 3rdXI who played Northern's 4thXI on the Lower Ground. Mohammad Nawab scored 109,Stuart Marshall-Clarke 59 and James Pearce 23 not out as Sefton scored 235 for 5 declared after being put in to bat. In reply Northern were dismissed for 75 thanks to skipper Brian Viner taking 6 for 16.

The 4thXI achieved an excellent draw at Northern against their strong 3rdXI. Northern won the toss and batted, going on to score 213 for 6, with Pama Singh (3 for 53) and Robin Surtees (2 for 25) being the pick of the bowlers. In reply Iwan Williams (62) Vince Able (27)and Robin Surtees (26) top scored but skipper Robin Surtees says that a special mention should be made for 12 years old James Baird who finished on 24 not out as Sefton reached 186 for 6.

Sunday 18th June...Win in Littlewoods Gaming KO

Sefton moved in to the next round of the Littlewoods Gaming Knockout following a home win against Newton le Willows. The visitors batted first and scored 161 all out in 43 overs with Robbie Houghton taking 3 for 33 and Brendan Taylor 3 for 18. Rain fell at tea and the game was reduced to 35 overs with Sefton requiring 126 for victory. They achieved this in the 31st over as Matty Phythian completed his 50 as he scored the winning runs. Saturday 24th June.....1stXI Draw and Victory for 3rdXI against 4thXI

Colwyn Bay were the visitors to Sefton Park for the 1stXI game and were put in to bat, going on to score 248 for 6 declared in 61 overs. Paul Horton bowled 20 overs and took 3 for 84. In reply the task always looked difficult, Brendan Taylor (46) and Ben Moore (37) produced the best performances but Sefton found themselves with 8 wickets down and 6 overs left. Nick Cockrell and Stuart Wade batted out the rest of the match to earn a draw.

The 3rdXI played the 4thXI in a league game on the Lower Ground. The 3rdXI batted first and made 200 for 8 declared. Matt Childs (40), Kevin Walton (33), Ian Kelly (29 not out) and Stuart Marshall-Clarke (27) scored the runs and Pama Singh took 4 for 63 for the 4thXI.

In reply the 4thXI passed a hundred with only 2 wickets down but lost their last 5 wickets for 5 runs to be all out for 159. Vince Able put in an excellent performance, scoring 84, and there was a lot of praise for the 21 scored by Tom Robertson. For the 3rdXI Brian Viner took 4 for 64 and Mahammad Nawab 3 for 25
