Minutes of the Sefton Park C.C. Management Board Meeting held on Thursday 01st May 2014.


Present: R Paisley (Chairman), T. Hughes, J Jackson, E Williams, R Forsyth, S Lomas, B Rispin and K Spencer.


Apologies: J Ledger, D. Cunningham, M Boyns, E Wood, M Poole, J Kelly.


The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as a true record. Proposed K Spencer seconded B Rispin


Matters Arising:







Invoices due for payment £2012


In order to control expenses within the club Keith proposed a procedure for Board Members who approve expenditure to adhere to Ė copy attached.

Proposal passed unanimously


P&L to be available for next Board Meeting.



Period 6 resulted in an excess of income over expenditure.

Data to compere income by each bar to be available for next Finance Meeting date to be advised.




A new cistern installed in the gentís toilet

A storage area for tables had been created in the lower pavilion.



Arrangements for a Former Players Day are on-going.

Stuart, Bob and Dave had met with a heating engineer who completed an audit of our heating etc. and will advise the outcome in writing.




Player sponsorship had raised over £500 for the cricket section.

Playing subscriptions still owing is being chased prior to week ending 02-May-2014.

Welcome night for Jerome was reasonably attended by the players.

The Cricket Chairman had addressed the selection issue with Terry Macklin. The clubs selection policy had also been communicated to all playing members via email and facebook group.

Under 11ís coaches have advise there availability will be limited over the coming months. Alan Fretwell is serving his probationary period as coach prior to his assessment on 22-June-2014.

Under 15ís had a good win in the National Knock-out.

John Jackson advised the Board he would like to get involved in Junior coaching.


EW advised that during his trip to the Caribbean he and Liz had received a warm welcome from the Barbados Cricket Board who expressed their thanks and appreciation to SPCC for the excellent relationship and development of the Barbados players who have been involved in the Lord Gavron Scholarship.

EW had written to Joel Garner to thank the Barbados Cricket Board for the hospitality he and Liz had received during their visit.

One new non playing member.
