Minutes of the Sefton Park C.C. Management Board Meeting held on Thursday 12th June 2014.


Present: R Paisley (Chairman), T. Hughes, D Cunningham, E Wood, E Williams, K Taylor and K Spencer.


Apologies: J Ledger, S Lomas, B Rispin, M Boyns, J Kelly.


The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as a true record. Proposed K Spencer seconded E Wood


Matters Arising:




Letter received from PPL requesting information about music played on the premises:

TH to contact Chris Weston.


Proposal received from Julie McLoughlin and Joanne Woolvine for a Term Time Pre School Nursery located in the lower pavilion;

After discussion it was agreed TH write to Julie advising the following:

Cricket Season runs from April to the end of September and the top and lower ground can be in use on a daily basis from 10am to 8.00pm.

Management Board concerned about the use of the outdoor space immediately to the rear of the building and paved area at the front of the building.

Security of the building to meet Ofsted requirements etc.



Invoices due for payment £2500 (VAT)

Roller Shutter Door had to be replaced (main pavilion) £1400

A Profit and Loss YTD account was distributed; Keith was thanked for his hard work in getting the accounts up to date.

KS advised he had been in communication with Utility Warehouse to request the rebate which was now due.

Membership Card (plastic) was discussed and EW to investigate.





A business Review showing income for each bar compared with 2013 and expenditure against budget was distributed.

The function room bar was down £8070 against 2013.

Expenditure against budgets were all lower than budget. See attached.

TH had made enquiries through the Oliver King Foundation to purchase a defibrillator the cost would be £750. Board agreed to go ahead and purchase.



All gutters and downspouts had been cleaned

Function room wall had been painted

Carpets and upholstery had been cleaned

Curtain rail in members bar requires fixing

Nothing to report in the absence of Stuart and Ben



Under 15ís had a good win against Widnes in the National Cup and are due to be drawn against a club from Lancashire.

Under 13ís are doing well but lost to Liverpool in a area final.

A letter had been received from an under 9 parent requesting his sonís registration be cancelled as he deemed they were not being given a chance to play and develop. It was agreed EW would write to the parent confirming cancellation of the registrations and refund the membership fee paid.
