URGENT! Kit Orders Needed!
Sefton has acquired a new
kit sponsor for the 2007 season and
orders need to be in as soon
as possible. Contact
Ben at nets or at ben.moore@strathmoreas.com or
Chris
at wylo@autobreakers.co.uk by Monday 5th March to
place an order. After that
it’s too late!
Sky’s the limit
Sky TV is in the latter
stages of finalising arrangements to follow Sefton Park Cricket Club as part of
it's Club Life section during the summer. The monthly segment will look at
Sefton's fortunes -
as well as those of two
other clubs - on and off the pitch.
Last year Club Life followed
the fortunes of Tynemouth CC from the North East, Mount CC from West Yorkshire and
Tilford CC from Farnham in Surrey.
More details will follow as
they are received.
Bob’s your Chairman.
Bob Paisley was elected
Chairman of the club at the
AGM following the departure
of Stu Marshall-Clark.
Ben Moore and Chris Wylie
remain as Club Captain and
Cricket Chairman with Mike
Poole continuing in his role as President.
Mark-ed Improvement Needed
The club needs help in
attaining its ECB Club Mark
status. All member clubs
need to attain the ECB
Club Mark status by January
next year in order to
remain part of the LDCC,
requiring a comprehensive
list of all club members
with coaching qualifications.
Anyone with one or more of
the following should
contact Max Hill at mhill@elitetele.com with the
following details.
* What level coaching award you have received?
* Your ECBCA number (on your certificate) and the date attained
* If you have completed the 'Good Practice & Child Protection'
module and the date attained
* If you are CRB checked and the date attained
* If you are a qualified First Aider and the date attained
Please make sure copies of
all the relevant certificates make their way to Max or Chris Wylie either at
nets or by posting to Chris at:
37 Newcastle Road,
Wavertree,
Liverpool
L15 9HP.
Please return all relevant
information by Friday 16th March.
Club Together
31st March is a date to
remember with Briggsy’s patented Groundforce Day and night-time karaoke club
bash to contend with.
The annual Groundforce Day
is needed to prepare the ground in time for the new season. All club members
are requested to attend, with the promise of bacon butties and coffee to keep
spirits up.
Later on will be a
fund-raising bash at the club to kick-start the new season. A karaoke and disco
will see festivities continue into the small hours, and the possibility of Sky
cameras and potential exposure of tired and emotional Sefton players to a
horrified viewing population is sure to make it a night to remember. All WAGS
& friends welcome, don’t forget to do your hair…!
Inter-Net practice
In a bid to improve the club’s infamous communication skills, would all members interested in receiving club e-mails please send an e-mail to Ben at the above address. If members could confirm up to date addresses and telephone numbers in these e-mails that would great and would help keep the birds per stone ratio as high as possible!
