Sunday 13th September - Sunday XIs round off their seasons

Alex Woods' Sunday XI finished off their 3rd XI Premier Division campaign with a home game against Merseyside Sports and Cultural Club who needed to win to stay up.

Ben Lester scored 61 and Hamzar Maqbool 32 as Sefton reached 182-9 declared off 55 overs. In reply, Rajiv Bhardwaj got to work taking 5-27 off his eight overs as MSCC crumbled to 99 all out off 22.1 overs. The win means Alex's side will finish sixth or seventh.

Ronan Brady's Sunday XI travelled to Newton le Willows in Division Two where the hosts were put into bat. They declared on 184-7 off 50 overs with Usaid Muhammad's 2-20 the pick of the figures. Sefton were bowled out for 117 in reply with Joe Anderson (34) and Simon Povey (19) top scoring. Ronan's side finish 15th in the table.

Elsewhere there was a win for the Under 11s over Maghull and lots of fun on the Lower Pitch where the Sefton Park Junior Girls took on a parents side!
