Sunday 16th August - Sefton Park Women defeated in final and draw for AW Sunday XI

It was not Sefton Women's day as they were well beaten by Rainhill in Sunday's Super 8s Plate Final. Lauren Rutland top scored with 21 as Sefton finished with a score of 80-9 (net score: 239). Rainhill cruised to victory with a total of 158-4 (net score: 338). Tina Jones picked up 2-15.

At Croxteth Drive, Alex Woods' side couldn't force victory against Liverpool Lions despite bowling more than 10 overs at the last pair. Son and father pairing Ben Lester scored 52 and Neil Lester 45 in Sefton's 193-9d from 49.3 overs. Ronan Brady then took 5-65 as the Lions slipped to 143-9 but their last pair saw them through to the draw, just nine runs short of the target.
