The final day of the season brought three more wins for Sefton Park's sides to make it a clean sweep of victories to close the campaign.
On the lower ground the 4th XI finished their promotion winning 2023 with a nine wicket win over Caldy. Put into bat, the visitors started well, but an excellent fielding display saw Sefton execute three run outs, including two from directs from Shadab Khan and Andy Fallows. Vinothkumar Vasantharajah chipped in with 3-20 with Jamie Bowman enjoying a nice moment when he took his 150th wicket for Sefton Park before Caldy declared on 143-8 off 45 overs. After losing Rob Kennedy early on Vinoth took centre stage and smashed his way to an unbeaten 114 with Shadab (20no) playing a nice support role as Sefton Park cruised to victory. Well done to Jo Ledbury and his side who will play alongside the 3rd XI next season in the Premier League.

At Formby, Pete Elliott's Sunday XI needed to win and hope results went their way if they were going to win the Sunday 3rd XI Premier League. Formby won the toss and elected to bat but were soon regretting the decision with Chris Mitchell (3-23), Tom Spilsbury (4-11) and Rajiv Bhardwaj (3-2) dismissing them for 61 in 33.5 overs. James Whittaker (26) helped ensure an eight wicket win with Sarhad Rushtom hitting a six to win the game. Sadly for Sefton, Southport and Birkdale also won meaning they win the league with Sefton coming a very creditable second.
Sefton Park Women were in action on the top pitch in the LCF Women's 40 Over League where they hosted Tarleton. The visitors were blown away by Sefton's attack with Sarah John (3-3) and Lorna Harper (4-3) helping dismiss Tarleton for just 18 runs with the hosts knocking off the target for the loss of one wicket in the sixth over.
