Sunday, 19th April - Tough start for women and 3s exit the cup

A tough start to the season for Sefton Women this afternoon. Ramsbottom's opening pair put on 101 en route to posting 218-3 from their 40 overs before bowling out Sefton for 56.

Sefton 3XI are out of the Mike Leddy Cup after a four wicket defeat at Leigh. Navi Singh top-scored with 24 but Sefton were bundled out for just 89. Leigh's second wicket pair took the game away from Sefton before a late flurry of wickets threatened to make things interesting - but came a little too late.

Better news from the U11 pre-season friendly at Liverpool this morning where Sefton put in an excellent all round performance to win by 71 runs.
