Sunday 21st September - Another century for Tom Rushton

Sefton Sunday AWXI completed their season with a last day win over new champions Liverpool Lions 2XI.

Tom Rushton finished the season much the way he started it scoring 106 - his fourth century of a spectacular summer; Raj Bhardwaj supported with 42 as Sefton posted 194-7d on a difficult track after Saturday's rain.

Finn Spragg starred with the ball, taking 5-31, alongside two wickets apiece for Chris Mitchell and Ronan Brady as the Lions were bowled out for 116.

Alex Woods' side finish the season in a very creditable third place.
