Sunday 7th June - Century for Michael Row

Alex Woods' Sunday XI hosted Newton-le-Willows for a 3rd XI Premier League clash with the visitors winning the toss and inserting the home side.

Abhishek Salibindla (38) top scored but there were contributions throughout the innings from Hamza Maqbool (37), Venu Sivasubramaniam (30), Jonathan Dopson (28no) and James Orme (22) allowing Sefton to reach 189 all out from 37 overs.

Newton's reply looked well in control but they collapsed after a strong start with Theo Archer (3-30) and Shadab Khan (3-43) in the wickets as Alex's men won by 22 runs to go third in the table.

In Division One, Ronan Brady's side travelled to Winstanley Park where they won the toss and batted. The visitors were in trouble at 25-5 but in stepped Michael Row and the skipper who compiled a sixth wicket partnership of 126 runs before Ronan was out for 58. Michael would go on to make 100 not out off 96 balls - his fourth century for Sefton Park - as the skipper declared on 201-6 off 43 overs.

Sefton were in a great position to push for the win after Angus Blankenstein took 3-21 to reduce the hosts to 101-5 off 22 overs but the weather intervened and no more play was possible.
