Sefton Park Women have won the Lancashire T20 Knockout becoming the first side from the club to win a regional trophy.
In a game affected by rain, Sefton were set 34 to win from five overs. Skipper Sarah John (12*) hit the penultimate ball for a single as Sefton won by eight wickets. Caitlyn Summers scored 14 from 11 balls before falling in the last over.
Leyland had earlier scored 96-9 from 17 overs with Alice Kelly taking 2-18 and four run outs.

In other news, both Sunday XI fixtures between Sunday XI JW and Liverpool Lions and Sunday XI AW and Rainhill were abandoned without a ball being bowled.
