The 11th Alex Miller Cup returns to Sefton Park on Sunday 25th August.
This six-a-side tournament is in memory of our wicket keeper Alex who died by suicide in 2012. Since the year after his death there has been a range of fundraising efforts for the charity C.A.L.M (https://thecalmzone.net) in his memory with the £20,000 mark being passed last year.
Ran by Opening Up Cricket (https://openingupcricket.com), which was founded at Sefton, the day is a chance to be reminded of all the benefits that cricket brings to us.
Starting at 11am, we hope there is better weather than last season when unfortunately the tournament was abandoned due to rainy conditions.
Sefton are joined by teams from Maghull, Opening Up, Alder, Huyton and the dangerous Dovey Devils.
You can support the fundraising directly here https://justgiving.com/seftonparkcc with the prize draw for the day itself also available here:
