Sefton Park Cricket Club are delighted to confirm that talented all-rounder Leo Spilsbury has returned to Croxteth Drive.
A talented left-arm seamer and dependable middle-order batter, Leo, 20, came through the junior ranks at Sefton Park before joining the Lancashire County Cricket Club Pathway, and went on to represent the Red Rose across multiple age groups, including appearances for both the U18s and Lancashire's Second XI.

At club level, Leo most recently represented Newton-le-Willows in the Premier Division of the Liverpool & District Cricket Competition, having made the move from Sefton Park ahead of the 2024 season. Across his time at both clubs, Leo has collected over 100 First XI wickets at an average a touch over 20 and added 500+ runs to his name.
Leo’s development was further underlined during an outstanding 2024/25 season in New Zealand, where he represented Merivale-Papanui Cricket Club in the Christchurch Metro Cricket Association. The left-arm seamer thrived in Kiwi conditions — claiming 57 wickets at an average of 13.86 with best figures of 7/41, alongside contributing 400 runs at just under 40, including a top score of 77.
Leo goes straight into the 1st XI side for Sefton Park's trip to Sutton on Saturday.
