This Bank Holiday weekend at Sefton sees plenty of cricket if we can avoid the English weather!

After a tense win in the league opener on Saturday, Sefton Park 1st XI head up the coast to face Hightown St Mary's. Hightown were beaten by New Brighton on the opening day but we had two very tight games against them last season, ending in a two wicket win and a draw on the road.
Sefton's 2nd XI provide the main ground entertainment at Croxteth Drive with Birkenhead Park once again the visitors. Both sides picked up wins last week; Park with a thrilling two run win over Leigh. Skipper Tom Rushton welcomes back the talismanic off-spinner Robin Brown back into the fold after a prolonged spell on the side-lines.
Eyeing a third consecutive 25 point haul, Sefton 3rd XI are once again on the road, this time at Bootle, whilst Sefton 4th XI will be hoping to pick up a first win as they host Caldy on the lower ground.
Sefton Women's 40 Over League game against Hightown St Mary's headlines Sunday's offerings with Sefton looking to bounce back from a tough opening defeat.
Alex Woods' side play Wigan on the lower ground with Ronan Brady leading his XI to New Brighton. And all that after a busy morning of junior cricket!
Bank Holiday Monday sees the latest chapter in the burgeoning Varsity rivalry as the University of Liverpool take on John Moores.
The weekend kicked off last night with junior training on Friday as we welcomed our newest intake of All Stars to the club for the first time!
Many thanks to Saturday's matchball sponsor Ste Rushton.
