Sefton win a low scoring thriller in the National T20 Knockout at Liverpool in front of a large crows at the famous Aigburth ground.
Haroon Khan scored 27 up top but after a middle order wobble it was down to some hard-running from Noah Olejnizjak (34*) and James Stirling (16*) to take Sefton to 109-6, putting on an unbroken 39 for the seventh wicket.
Liverpool started well and, despite slipping from 31-0 to 37-4, were always up with the rate, but Dan Kelly's 3-9 from four overs backed up by an excellent 2-28 from Tom Spilsbury saw Sefton hold on to win by a six run margin as the hosts closed on 103-9.
Definitely worthy of mention was Liverpool's excellent hosting, in particularly involving the U9s earlier in the evening.
