The Third XI were in action on the lower ground where they welcomed Merseyside Sports and Cultural Club. Batting first, opener Alex Woods hit 82 off 63 balls with support from Nathan Paul (47) as Charlie Daniels' side declared on 194-8 off 34 overs. James Woods (4-45) and Tom Spillsbury (5-25) the combined to bowl out the visitors for 122. The win takes the Threes up to third in the table.
The Women's First XI hosted Leyland in the LCF Women's 40 Over League with the visitors put into bat. Sarah John was the pick of the bowlers with 4-11 as Leyland were dismissed for 92 before Sarah top scored with 19 as Sefton chased down the target for the loss of six wickets. The win leaves Sefton join top of the league.
