The First XI travelled to Rainford with the home side looking for a win to gain promotion.

Sefton won the toss and decided to field first. The home side began well before a spell of 7 overs from Leo Spilsbury ( 3 for 25) reduced them to 90 for 4. Raheem Kasser then joined the attack and his 5 for 10 in 6.3 overs enabled Sefton to bowl out Rainford for 140 in 36.3 overs.

In reply, Sefton were hoping for a reversal of their recent form but this was not to be and only skipper Paul Horton (14) reached double figures as they were dismissed for 41 in 23.1 overs.

Rainford won the league and Colwyn Bay finished second. Sefton park finished eighth and Fleetwood Hesketh and Northop Hall were relegated.

The Second XI welcomed Ormkirk to Sefton Park with Sefton needing 8 points to avoid relegation.

Three quick wickets for Asiri Gamage (3 for 28) reduced the visitors to 2 for 2 and then 19 for 3 before they put on 46 for the fourth wicket. Sam Parkinson then struck, taking 3 for 31 in 7 overs to take the score to 83 for 6. Rob Houghton (2 for 43) and Tom Spilsbury (2 for 5) then tidied up the tail as Ormskirk were dismissed 117 in 38.3 overs.

In reply, the total looked very getable but when the first two Sefton wickets fell for 8 runs, the warning was there. Scott Aitchison's 31 runs was the backbone of Sefton's innings, he was helped by Rob Supria (17) and Sam Parkinson (19) but in the end they fell 6 runs short on 111 in 41.3 overs. Only 7 points but results elsewhere at Southport and Orrell Red Triangle enabled them to avoid relegation. Orrell Red Triangle and Liverpool were relegated as Sefton finished ninth. Formby won the league.
