Fourth XI

No game

The First XI welcomed Spring View to Sefton Park.

Sefton won the toss and decided to field first.

The visitors reached 110 when the third wicket fell but then lost wickets fairly quickly and were dismissed for 151 in 40.5 overs.

Daksh Singhvi finished with 3 for 40 and Tom Spilsbury 4 for 23.

In reply, Sefton, also found runs hard to come by. The fell to 11 for 3 reached 84 for 6 mainly thanks to 32 rums from Huzaifa Zubair

Leo Spilsbury scored 26 to take them to 104 for 7. At 106 for 8 Connor Melia joined Adam Taylor in the middle and scored 12 to take Sefton to to 144 for 9 in the 17th over of the last 20. So any result was possible as they started the last over on 147 for 9, Unfortunately, Adam Taylor was bowled for 26 by the second ball. Sefton batted 55.3 overs for their 147 runs.

Sefton drop to seventh in the table and travel to play Maghull next week.

The Second XI travelled to Crosby to play title chasing Northern.

Northern won the toss and decided to bat first. After early success for Sefton, reducing the home side to 30 for 4, Northern recovered to declare on 200 for 8 in 45 overs.

Michael Kelly took 3 for 58 and James Orme 4 for 31.

In reply, Luke Connolly was the backbone of the Sefton innings, scoring 96 and taking his side to 183 for 4 when he was dismissed. Tom Rushton scored 21, Sam Parkinson 31 and Rav Bhardwaj 25 in Sefton's impressive three wicket victory.

Sefton remain ninth in the table but within reach of a few sides above them.

Another early finish for the Third XI who played Wallasey's Fourths on the Lower Ground.

Wallasey won the toss and decided to bat first.

A stand of 14 for the fifth wicket was the best achieved by the visitors who were bowled out for just 38 in 20.2 overs.

Jonathan Dopson took 2 for 6, Ibrahim Muhammad took 2 for 1, and Lewis Probert 2 for 0

James Whittaker (24 not out) and Finn Spragg (12 not out) knocked off the runs in 7.2 overs.

Sefton remain fourth in the table.
