Sunday 3rd May - Women win and runs for Raj and Ronan

Sefton Park Women got a first win on the board in the LCF Women's 40 Over League.

After a delayed start, Sefton put on 38 for the first wicket before slipping to 48-4 but an important last wicket partnership of 34 took the total to 149. Laura Stringman scored 23 up top, Amy Kennedy 29 in the middle and Grace Manek 19 at number 10. Hightown St Mary's reply reached 59-3 but they collapsed to 80 all out thanks to Kalpita Dutta (3-18), Apoorva Aji (2-8) and Sarah Jackson (3-3).

There was a draw for Alex Woods' Sunday XI on the lower ground. Wigan 3rd XI racked up 213-5d in 38 overs with Ian Dawes' 2-39 the pick of the figures. Raj Bhardwaj and Ronan Brady each scored 45 as they put on 63 for the third wicket but Sefton weren't able to keep up with the rate in the last hour, closing on 175-6 from 45 overs.

Sefton Sunday RBXI's game at New Brighton was cancelled.
