Sefton Park Women's 1st XI travelled to Hightown St Mary's in the ECB Women's Club Cup T20 where they lost the toss and were put into bat.
A poor start saw the visitors reduced to 18/2 but a partnership of 70 for the third wicket between Sarah John (46) and Aaishah Amjad (32) saw Park post 125/4 with Charlie Jeffreys chipping in with a valuable 20 not out.
A nail-biting finish saw the hosts finish just five runs short with Sarah John taking 2/20 from her four overs helped by some excellent fielding.
The win sees Sefton Park Women through to the next stage of the competition where they will travel to Leyland CC.
