After beating Liverpool in Round One, Sefton had the tough prospect of travelling to Premier League Wallasey in Round Two on Wednesday evening.
Sefton elected to bat first and got off to a decent start with Noah Olejniczak (25), Chris Bellis (20) and Luke Connolly (23 rtd hrt) in the runs before an injury to Luke derailed the innings and the visitors closed on 108 all out off 19.4 overs. Wallasey lost two wickets in chasing down the target in the 19th overs.
On the same evening, Sefton Park Under 15 Greens travelled to Wavertree in the Under 15s Competition South. The home side compiled 134 all out off their 20 overs with Jake Thornton (2-26) the pick of the bowlers. Sefton managed just 57 all out in reply with none of the side reaching double figures.
