A friendly to start the season

The season started with a friendly between two Sefton Park sides.
The "First XI" batted first and scored 149 all out in 44.3 overs with Leo Spilsbury top scoring with 24.
George Lee took 3 for 9 in 3.3 overs, Mark Boyns 2 for 26 and Mark Chappell 2 for 9.
In reply the "Second XI" innings was dominated by Ben Percival who was 98 not out, failing in his attempt to finish with a six and his century. Adam Taylor scored 21 as the Second XI won by 6 wickets in 31.5 overs.
