Former Sefton pro Brendan Taylor returns to Test cricket

Brendan Taylor, Sefton's overseas player in 2006, was back in the Zimbabwe Test team in Bulawayo today and top-scoring in the first innings on his return after rehabilitation and completing his ban having not reported a match fixing approach.

Brendan, now aged 39, joined Sefton Park for the 2006 season. He scored 452 runs at 45.2 from 12 league games before enjoying an illustrious career with Zimbabwe, whom he captained, and Nottinghamshire in County Cricket.

Everyone at Sefton Park Cricket Club wishes Brendan all the very best wishes.
