The First XI started the second half of the season with a trip to play Hightown St Marys on a very hot day.
Without Paul Horton, acting skipper James Stirling won the toss and decided to bat first.
Haroon Khan and Chris Bellis (9) put on 52 for the first wicket. Haroon continued with Joash Vinu (19) to put on 41 for the second wicket and Matt Young (19) 46 for the third. Then followed a small collapse and Haroon Khan was eventually out for 87 in 104 balls with the score on 159 for 7. Raj Bharwaj (33) and Abhishek Jagan then recovered the score to 217 for 8 before they eventually declared on 231 for 8 in 55 overs).
In reply Sefton made a good start, reducing Hightown to 53 for 5, then 69 for 6 but Hightown skipper Matthew White added to taking five wickets by scoring 62 not out and resisting the Sefton bowlers as Hightown finished on 187 for 7 in 43 overs as the game was drawn.
Huzaifa Zubair finished with 4 for 62 and Jimmy Dixon 2 for 54.
The First XI remain seventh in the table with Maghull visitors to Sefton Park next week
Ormskirk were the visitors to Sefton Park for the Second XI game.
Ormskirk won the toss and decided to bat first.
After putting on 87 for the first wicket, Ormskirk were never in trouble as the Sefton bowlers toiled in the heat. They declared on 213 for 4 in 43 overs.
Luke Connolly opened the batting for Sefton but saw his partners come and go too quickly. When he was out for 50, the score was 104 for 7, Mark Chappell had scored 19.
Sefton's tail offered some resistance with Jack Lavery scoring 20 and Sam Parkinson 19 not out but they were eventually all out for 148 in 39.1 overs,
The Seconds moved to fourth in the table but with a game in hand on the top two.



The Third XI travelled to play Wallasey.
Sefton batted first and declared on 192 for 5 with Jack Clements scoring 52, James Daniels 47 and James Whittaker 41.
In reply Chris Mitchell took 6 for 42 and Ronan Brady 2 for 41 as the home side were dismissed for 143
Liverpool Lions were the Fourth XI's opponents on the Lower Ground.
Sefton batted first
They batted for 46 overs and reached 172 all out.
Rob Kennedy scored 22, Scott Hakes 36, Daniel Cuthbert 25 and the Ahmed brothers Ibrahim (33) and Adam (19) put on 52 runs together.
In reply Daniel Cuthbert took 4 for 17 and Finn Spragg 3 for 34 to dismiss the Lions for 117 in 25 overs.
