Sefton Park Cricket Club can confirm that 1st XI wicket keeper/batter James Stirling has left Croxteth Drive to join newly-promoted Premier League outfit Liverpool Cricket Club.
A graduate of our thriving junior section, James progressed through Sefton's age groups to make his 1st XI debut in 2021. James was also picked to play for Lancashire age group and Liverpool Competition representative sides.

James played 106 games for the 1st XI, scoring 1,301 runs at an average of 17.l2 with six half-centuries. Behind the wickets he took 80 catches and claimed 22 stumpings.
During the 2025 season he captained the 1st XI in Paul Horton's absence and was part of the side that won the Ray Tyler Cup.
We would like to thank James for his dedication to Sefton Park and we wish him well with his future career.
