Sefton Park's Under 13 girls made the long trip to picturesque Irby as they continued the first season of hardball cricket. Sefton bowled well in restricting Irby to 289 and took three wickets (104-3) - Melody Bowman (1-10) and Silvie Duncan Naidu (1-17) were the pick of the bowlers with Silvie also executing a fantastic run out with a direct hit.
In reply, Sefton reached 222 (67-9). Skipper Wren Lavery top scored with 11. The girls are improving in every game against opposition who are older (and bigger!) than them.
The girls have a debrief with coach Sarah John
