With the early morning rain in South Liverpool followed by continuing drizzle, the home games for the Firsts against St Helens and the Thirds against Super Kings as well as the Fourth XI game at Liverpool were called off without a ball being bowled.


Escaping the weather, the Second XI travelled North to play Ormskirk.

The home side won the toss and decided to bat first. They batted steadily to enable them to declare on 186 for 7 in 42 overs.

Pete Ostler took 2 for 69, Raj Bharwaj 2 for 11 and Sarhad Rustom 2 for 21

Sefton were able to bat 48.2 overs and after a careful start the pace picked up to enable them the win by 2 wickets. Jeremy Rogers scored 27, Matt Young 26, Nathan Paul 22 in 25 balls, Scott Aitchison 40 in 43 balls, Pete Ostler 24 in 29 balls and Raj Bhardwaj 15 in 15 balls to complete a memorable victory.
