The First XI travelled to Wigan to play Spring View, won the toss and asked the home side to bat first. With the score on 44 for 6 and five wickets for Jimmy Dixon, this looked a good decision. But stands of 24 for the seventh wicket, 28 for the ninth wicket and 21 for the tenth enabled the home side to reach 134 all out in 52.4 overs. Dixon finished with 5 for 30 and Huzaifa Zubair 2 for 23.

Unfortunately, Sefton found similar difficulties in their reply and with a top stand of 17 for the fifth wicket between Paul Horton (16) and Daniel Kelly who top scored with 20, Sefton were only able to reach 87 all out in the 42nd over.

The Second XI welcomed Leigh to Sefton Park. Sefton won the toss and decided to bat first. Kaash Patel (15) and Jeremy Rogers put on 27 for the first wicket. Jeremy was out for 28 having put on 90 for the second wicket with Scott Aitchison who scored 66 before he was dismissed soon after. An undefeated stand of 52 for the seventh wicket between Pete Ostler (38 not out) and Mohammad Rafi (35 not out) enabled Sefton to declare on 201 for 6 off 42 overs.

Leigh made a good start in reply, scoring 38 for the first wicket but this proved to be the top stand as the Sefton bowlers gradually picked up wickets. Asiri Gamage took 2 for 35, Ostler 2 for 51, Tom Spilsbury 3 for 24 and Mohammad Rafi 3 for 12 as Leigh were dismissed for 152 in 37.1 overs.

The Third XI travelled to Crosby to play Northern's SK XI

Sefton were asked to bat first with Rhys Owens scoring 74 which was the backbone of Sefton's total of 175 all out in 49.4 overs. Mark Boyns chipped in with a valuable 27 not out.

In reply, Chris Mitchell began his regular collection of wickets by taking 5 for 38 and Ian Dawes took 2 for 54 to dismiss Northern for 151 in 44 overs.
