On a Saturday when the Mersyside area was affected by rain, the First XI tarvelled to play Birkenhead Park.

Luckily, they were able to start on time, with the home side batting first after Sefton won the toss. Three home side wickets soon fell to Jimmy Dixon and they were 12 for 3 when a break for rain gave them a chance to regroup. The fourth wicket soon fell as play returned and then a stand of 39 for the fifth wicket helped. Wickets six and seven fell to Jimmy Dixon in consecutive balls. The home side then reached 101 for 8 when there was a big break for rain.

They returned and eventually reached 125 in 25.5 overs with Jimmy Dixon finishing with 6 for 48 and Leo Spilsbury 2 for 19

Sefton's reply began steadily and they were 43 for 4 when Dan Kelly joined Paul Horton in the middle, he scored 56 not out in 42 balls as Sefton finished on 116 for 4 in 29 overs, 9 runs short of the Birkenhead total in a drawn game. Paul Horton finished on 23 not out

The Third XI managed to get their game on against Liverpool's Thirds on the Lower Ground. Sefton batted first and James Daniels scored 71 and Prajesh Shakla 44 as they were able to declare 151 for 3 in the hope of getting a result before the rains came.

Liverpool went out to bat as the rain started but reached 69 for 2 when it was too heavy to carry on.
