Fourth XI

Caldy 70 all out

A Fallows 2 for 20,

Sefton Park won by 10 wickets


The First XI made the short journey to play Old Xaverians.

They won the toss and decided to bat first. They put on a solid steady performance that enabled them to declare on 220 for 6 in 60 overs.

Ben Percival top scored with 53, Paul Horton scored 39, Huzaifa Zubair 30, Andrew Hale 21 Leo Spilsbury 27 not out and Jeremy Rogers 19 not out.

In reply, Old Xavs put on 25 for the first wicket but that proved to be their best stand and Sefton were able to dismiss them for 129 in the 40th over. Jimmy Dixon took 3 for 43, Huzifa Zubair 3 for 34 and Abhishek Jagan 3 for 26.


The Second Xi welcomed Northern to Sefton Park. The visitors won the toss and decided to bat first. With spinner Tom Spilsbury opening the bowling for Sefton, the Northern innings never really got going and they were dismissed 109 in 34.3 overs. Tom Spilsbury finished with 6 for 35 and Mohammad Rafi 3 for 43.

In reply, Rob Supria with 66 not out in 41 balls and Deva 36 in 38 balls rapidly knocked off the required total to enable Sefton to win by 9 wickets in 15.3 overs.

The Third XI travelled to Bromborough to play Merseyside Sports and Cultural

The home side won the toss and decided to bat first Chris Mitchell took 6 for 56 and Shadab Khan 2 for 22 to dismiss them for 115 in 30 overs.

in reply, Paul Morris scored 40 and player of the match Chris Mitchell 37 not out to enable Sefton to gain a 3 wicket win.


The Fourth XI had a comfortable victory over Caldy on the Lower Ground.

Caldy batted first and were dismissed for 70 with Andrew Fallows taking 2 for 20 and Ian Dawes 1 for 3 in 8 overs

In reply Rob Kennedy (38 not out) and James Daniels (25 not out) knocked off the required runs without losing a wicket
