The First XI travelled to Wigan to play Highfield.

Sefton won the toss and decided to bat first.

On a difficult wicket, they were soon in trouble at 8 for 2 with both openers out.

Matt Young (4) and Sarhad Rustum put on 25 for the third wicket. The best stand was 27 for the eighth wicket between Sarhad and Adam Taylor (9) as Sefton were dismissed for 103 in 38.2 overs. Sarhad was last man out for an excellent 64, the only batter to reach double figures.

In reply, Highfield put on 26 for the first wicket but at 33 for 3, they were level with the Sefton innings. The home side, then, moved on to 65 for 6 at which point the game was stopped for a shower of rain. The wet ball made things difficult for Sefton and Highfield moved on to 95 before the next wicket fell. Highfield passed the Sefton total with 7 wickets down in 31.3 overs. Huzaifa Zubair finished with 3 for 56 and Daksh Singhvi 2 for 23.

Sefton now fall to third place in the table but only four points cover the top four teams.

The Second XI welcomed Wigan to Sefton Park looking for another win to get their season going.

Sefton won the toss and elected to bat first. This proved to be a good decision as they put together a sound innings held together by an excellent knock from Joash Vinu, who scored 84 off 80 balls. Skipper Tom Rushton scored 26, Chris Bellis 37 and Michael Kelly 44 off 20 balls to enable them to declare on 229 for 5 in 42 overs.

Wigan put up some solid resistance in their reply and they were only dismissed for 94 with 3 balls to spare in the last 20. Michael Kelly took 3 for 26, Chris Bellis 3 for 23 and Pete Ostler 2 for 15.

The Third XI played Formby's Thirds on the Lower Ground.

Sefton won the toss and decided to bat.

They did not find batting easy but managed to score 159 in 43.5 overs. Top scorers were James Daniels and James Whittaker (both with 19). Ronan Brady 23 and Finn Spragg 24. There were, also, 33 extras.

Sefton were able to dismiss the visitors for 70 in 28.2 overs with Ronan Brady taking 4 for 20, Navi Singh 2 for 6 and Finn Spragg 2 for 3.

After eight games, the Thirds sit fourth in the table.
