Sunday 31st May - 1st XI exit the Ray Tyler Cup

Sefton's defence of the Ray Tyler Cup fell at the first hurdle with defeat at Northop Hall. The hosts posted 235-5 from 40 overs; Michael Kelly (3-20) was the pick of Sefton's bowlers. Three wickets in 10 balls left Sefton's response at 33-4 and from there they couldn't challenge the total, ultimately closing on 142-6. Sarhad Rustom scored 33, Adam Taylor 29* and Dan Cuthbert 22*.



At Croxteth Drive, Sefton Park Women entertained Leigh in the Thunder Cup. A composite team of female cricketers from Merseyside, captained by Sefton Park's Caitlin Summers, were bowled out for 93 with Leigh reaching the target for the loss of one wicket.


Earlier in the day, Sefton Park U13 Girls travelled to Wavertree in the Hardball League where they lost by 59 runs.
