The players of Sefton Park and Liverpool stood together in a line on a sunny bank holiday Monday to give a minute's applause in memory of Ted Williams who passed away a week before.
The funeral takes place on Thursday 3rd September at 1:00 pm at Runcorn Crematorium.
Only family members are allowed inside to conform with Covid restrictions but the service will be relayed outside and Ted's widow Liz is keen that as many people as possible stand outside.
Liz also requests that people wear bright clothes.
It is hoped that we will able to celebrate his life next year if things return to normal by then.
