The First XI welcomed league leaders Newton le Willows to Sefton Park and after winning the toss Sefton asked the visitors to bat first.

Newton made steady progress and put on 72 for the third wicket before reaching 174 for 6. Attempts to add a few more runs resulted in three more wickets falling mainly to the bowling of Leo Spilsbury and the visitors eventually declared on 182 for 9 after the 55 overs were reached. Leo finished with 4 for 43 and it was good to see Rob Houghton playing for Sefton again as he finished with 2 for 63.

In reply, after losing opener Luke Connolly for 5, James Stirling (24) and Ben Percival (19) took the score up to 55. However, more wickets fell to leave Sefton on 61 for 6. A recovery by Leo Spilsbury (29) and Huazaifa Zubair (17) took them to 105 for 7 and then Ayan Madhu scored 17 to enable the hosts to reach 144 for 9 before Jimmy Dixon and Rob batted out the last five overs as they gained a battling draw.

The Second XI travelled to Newton le Willows, won the toss and asked the home side to bat first. Sefton were soon amongst the wickets, thanks to Abhishek Jagan (3 for 42) and Dave Kelly (3 for 42). The home side recovered from 58 for 6 to reach 170 for 7. It was then Tom Spilsbury's turn to take wickets with 3 for 36 as Newton le Willows were all out for 188 in 44.5 overs.

Sefton's reply began well with Deva (37) and Jeremy Rogers (59) putting on 83 for the first wicket. Matt Young (55no) then steered the side to a five wicket victory in 32.2 overs.

The Third XI played Ormskirk's Thirds on what they said was not a good wicket in West Lancashire. Sefton batted first and were all out for 71 with Chris Mitchell scoring 20.

In reply, two wickets apiece for Chris and Rohan Brady and three for Joel Vinu helped dismiss the home side for 64.

Maghull Thirds conceded the Fourth XI's game due to be played on the Lower Ground.
