All the Sefton Park teams set off for their games knowing that there was the threat of rain again.

The First XI travelled to Wigan to play Orrell Red Triangle. The home side won the toss and asked Sefton to bat first. Sefton started well, putting on 46 for the first wicket of which Haroon Khan scored 30, then Chris Bellis (37) and Noah Olejniczak (45) put on 76 for the second wicket. After this things did not go so well and three wickets fell on 134 followed by a stand of 37 for the seventh wicket between Richie Forsyth (25) and Peter Kelly (9).

Sefton eventually declared on 181 for 9 in 60 overs.

In reply Orrell lost one wicket to Jimmy Dixon and were 52 for 1 in 14 overs when the rains came and the game finished with no decision

The Second XI welcomed Wallasey to Sefton Park, the visitors won the toss and decided to bat first.

A stand of 103 for the sixth wicket enabled them to recover from 50 for 5 and declare on 168 for 7 in 44.5 overs. Remarkably, their skipper, Matty Hughes, declared when.

he was 99 not out but was at the non strikers end as the 45 overs were about to be completed. Pete Ostler took 3 for 43.

Sefton's reply began after a light rain shower but the rain came back and it became impossible to play as they reached 81 for 8 in 31 overs. Luke Connolly had scored 30 opening the innings.

The Fourth XI won the toss and batted first. Scott Hawkes scored 40 and Chris Salmon 24 not out as they declared on 110 for 9 in 31 overs. The highlight of the innings was a hat trick by Ronan Brady of the Thirds. Tom Rushton took 3 for 20

In reply the Thirds lost just one wicket in knocking off the runs. Alex Woods scored 63 and James Daniels 35 not out. So a win for the Thirds and the rain beaten in this case.
