Sefton Park won by 7 wickets
The First XI welcomed Southport and Birkdale to Sefton Park.
Southport won the toss and decided to bat first.
Sefton were soon claiming wickets as Southport were reduced to 34 for 5. They recovered 97 for 6 but the rains came with the score on 102 for 6. Tea was then taken but after that every attempt to remove the covers seemed to result in another shower and play was eventually called off with no addition to the score.
So, it was five points each and the First XI remain in fifth place.



The Second XI travelled to play Leigh. They won the toss and elected to bat first.
After losing early wickets, they recovered to declare on 177 for 5 in 33.1 overs. Scott Aitchison scored 28, Tom Rushton 46, Sam Parkinson 25 not out and Dave Kelly a remarkable 39 not out in 14 balls.
In reply, Sefton took two early wickets, reducing the home side to 17 for 2 but they recovered by scoring 155 for the the third wicket. and went on to win without losing any more wickets in the 34th over.
The Second XI gained six points and are still top of the table with a lead of 21 points over second place Ormskirk but having played two games more.
Next week, the Seconds complete their fixtures with a home game against Rainford.
The Third XI travelled to play Northern's Thirds
The home side batted first and were 130 for 1 when the rains came.
The one wicket fell to Ian Dawes who completed his fifty wickets for the season.
The Fourth XI gained the only victory of the day.
They played Birkenhead Park on the Lower Ground.
The visitors batted first and were dismissed for 128 with Ibrahim Ahmed taking 4 for 8, Navi Singh 3 for 26 and Finn Spragg 2 for 40.
As the rains came, the Fourths benefited by the having the covers on the Lower Ground and as soon as it eased they went into bat.
Ibriham Ahmed scored 26, skipper Jo Ledbury 43 not out and Tim Yates 23 not out as the Birkenhead Park total was passed with just 3 wickets down.
