Another blazingly hot day saw Alex Woods' Sunday XI host Southport and Birkdale in the Premier Division.
Alex led from the front scoring a blistering 85 which included 17 fours and he was joined by Rajiv Bhardwaj who hit an unbeaten 102 as the pair put on 156 runs for the second wicket. Sefton declared on 251-4 off 39 overs.
S&B got off to a good start but the introduction of Will Saunders brought the hosts back into the game as the spinner took 6-24 off 13 overs. Sadly the visitors dug in and closed on 171-8 off 50 overs in a drawn game.

At Aigburth Road, there was another clash with Liverpool (the third of the weekend) as Ronan Brady's Sunday side met the hosts in a Division Two clash.
Ed Carrington hit 40 at the top of the order but the highlight was the return of Paul Squires with the former 1st XI skipper taking the opportunity to play with his son Sam. Paul rolled back the years, hitting 91 off 92 balls as the visitors declared on 241-9 with Michael Row scoring 38.
At 86-6 Liverpool looked to be in trouble but another rear-guard action thwarted Sefton as they closed on 219-9 in a drawn game. Caitlin Summers took 3-43 with Ronan claiming 3-54.
