Sunday 15th June - Women stay on top with win over Leyland

Sefton Women stay top of the Lancashire 40 Over League after a dominant performance at Leyland.

Sefton posted 278-6 after being 9-2 with Abbie Wright (46) and Sarah Culloty (56) putting on 82 for the third wicket before Alice Kelly (92*) and Apoorva Aji (37*) put on an unbroken 114 for the seventh wicket.

Apoorva then starred with the ball, taking 5-8; Lucy Brooks started things off with 2-8 from eight overs and skipper Culloty bowled two wicket maidens before Sarah Jackson took the final wicket with her first ball as Leyland were bowled out for 40.
