Sunday 19th July - Century for Paul Squires

Paul Squires hit 159* as his comeback continues apace, putting on 157 for the first wicket with Haris Zahid (40), as Sefton Sunday RBXI scored 232-1d from 40 overs - but Prescot and Odyssey held on for the draw, closing on 149-8 from 51 overs despite Chris Mitchell's 4-26.

Alex Woods' side lost at Newton-le-Willows where Ollie Davies scored an unbeaten century in the hosts' 258-5d - Sarhad Rustom took 3-37 and Theo Archer 2-51. Raj Bhardwaj hit 51 but Sefton were bowled out for 205.

There was a win for Sefton Women Super 8s side at Bootle and Sefton U11 Green put in an excellent performance to beat Southport and Birkdale before turning their hands back to softball to win a charity tournament at Liverpool CC.

Two U9s sides represented Sefton at Whitefield CC in the morning - with an excellent two run win over Rainhill sparking some wild celebrations in the nearby playground!
