Naimat Karyab took 8-25 on Sefton 1st XI debut as Sefton bowl out St Helens Town for 47 in the Ray Tyler Cup. Chris Mitchell, also on first team debut but with a few more Sefton matches under his belt, chipped in with 2-3.
Earlier Sefton had posted 222-6 from their 45 overs; Paul Horton (42), James Stirling (31), Noah Olejnizjak (31 from 14 balls) and Dave Kelly (26*) were the main contributors with the bat in a 175 run win. Sefton will play neighbours Wavertree in the quarter-finals after they beat Parkfield Liscard.

Sefton 3rd XI are through to the quarter-finals of the Mike Leddy Cup, though are yet to take to the field after a second opponent conceded - this time it was Rainford. Liverpool Superkings or Wallasey await.
Sefton U13s lost a close league cup final to Wavertree. Special mention to Seb Wheatcroft who took a hat-trick (and 4 in 5 balls) in Wavertree's 91-5. Sefton's reply was ahead of the rate up to halfway but ultimately closed on 81-8.
The morning also saw two wins for the Sefton U11s sides against Liverpool and Prescot and Odyssey.
