Sefton Park 2nd XI completed a 50 point weekend after a comprehensive eight wicket victory over Lytham at Croxteth Drive.
Miserly opening spells from Dave Kelly and Connor Melia left Lytham 23-2 from 20 overs. Mark Chappell then took 4-31 and Pete Ostler 4-11 as the visitors could only muster 96 from 39.1 overs.
Sefton's response set off at a fair clip as Scott Aitchison scored 33 and though it slowed a little, the chase was completed in 23 overs. Jeremy Rogers was forced to retire hurt with a serious looking knee injury and we wish him well.
Sefton are now 40 points clear at the top of the table with Ormskirk and Wallasey still able to catch them if they take maximum points from their games in hand.

There were two absolutely thrilling finishes for the Sefton Sunday sides - but unfortunately no further wins, though they couldn't have come much closer.
Sefton Sunday AWXI recovered from 15-3 to post 170 from 45.5 overs away at Merseyside Sports and Cultural Club 2XI. Mike Lowe (40) and Dan Cuthbert (26) dug Sefton out of the hole and Alex Woods' 35* took them to a respectable total. Woods (4-38) and Lewis Probert (3-31) then reduced their hosts to 71-7 before they recovered to squeeze home by one wicket as the light faded.
Sefton Sunday RBXI came even closer. They bowled out Newton-le-Willows for 190 on the lower ground thanks to two wickets apiece for Chris Mitchell, Patrick Byrne and Billy Gartside.
Ronan Brady scored 50 at the top of the order, Tim Yates 35 and Byrne 36* as they appeared to have managed the chase well, needing four from the final over. The scores ended level, however, with Sefton seven wickets down as the batters struggled to get bat on ball against the excellent spin of teenager Oscar Parkinson (7-66).
