The First XI travelled to New Brighton, hoping to keep up their winning run
Sefton won the toss and decided to bat first. Unfortunately, wickets soon began to fall and when Paul Horton was run out for 25 with the score on 66 for 5, they looked in trouble. Huzaifa Zubair (5) went on 75 and Mark Chappell (5) was dismissed on 84.
While these wickets were falling Matt Young was staying in at the other end. He saw Abhishek Jagan go for 10 with the score on 125 and, then, was involved in a 51 run partnership with Jimmy Dixon (30) before he was last man out after scoring 72 off 119 balls.
Sefton were all out for 196 after 47.5 overs.
In reply, Huzaifa Zubair too the first three New Brighton which left them on 39 for 3. Jimmy Dixon took the next three wickets to leave the score on 76 for 6. The ninth wicket fell for New Brighton on 86. Then followed over 20 overs of toil for the Sefton bowlers before the last man was eventually dismissed, Caught by Paul Horton off the bowling of Abhishek Jagan. who finished with 2 for 14 with Jimmy Dixon claiming 5 for 49 and Huzaifa Zubair 3 for 28.
Sefton now move up to second in the table, just a point behind leaders Liverpool.
Newton le Willows were the visitors to Sefton Park for the Second XI game. The visitors won the toss and decided to bat first on a hard, dusty wicket. They soon settled down and scored 31 for the first wicket and 59 for the second. This was followed by 83 for the fifth wicket on a hard day for the Sefton bowlers. Newton le Willows eventually declared on 223 for 8 after 45 overs. with Connor Melia taking 2 for 49 and Pete Ostler 3 for 33.
Sefton's reply began slowly as they reached just 44 for the loss of 3 wickets But an innings of 108 in 94 balls by 18-year-old Joash Vinu was the highlight of the day. He scored 14 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. Joash was ably assisted by Pete Ostler who scored 60 in 56 balls as they put on 161 for the fourth wicket. Sefton eventually passed the Newton le Willows total with 4 wickets down in 37 overs.



Liverpool Thirds played Sefton's Thirds on the Lower Ground..
Liverpool won the toss and decided to field first.
Sefton's early batters took advantage of their chances in the middle. Alex Woods scored 25, James Whittaker 53, Adam Taylor 30 and a second consecutive hundred for Tom Rushton (105) enabled them to declare on 246 for 7 in 42 overs.
This looked a winning total but Liverpool also found consistency in their batting and despite losing two wickets just four runs short of a winning total made it with one wicket to spare in the 47th over. Chris Mitchell took 2 for 47, Jonah Duggan 2 for 42, Faisal Malikzai 3 for 64 and Mark Boyns 2 for 60.




The Fourth XI travelled to play Birkenhead Park and achieved their first win in 18 months.
Sefton batted first and scored 137 with Tim Yates scoring 49 and Chris Salmon 31 - their eighth wicket partnership rescuing the innings from a perilous position.
In reply Birkenhead Park scored 69 with Chris Salmon taking 3 for 4 and Andy Fallows claiming his fist 'Michelle' for the Saturday team with 5-24.
