The First XI welcomed Lytham to Sefton Park in a game that was delayed for an hour because of the overnight rain.
The visitors possibly surprisingly decided to bat first after winning the toss.
Jimmy Dixon took the first Sefton wicket without a run on the board.
Jimmy and Huzaifa Zubair proceeded to bowl the first 30 overs, reducing Lytham to 49 for 6. Jimmy finished with 2 for 23 and Huzaifa 4 for 23.
Daksh Singhvi then took 3 for 6 and Abhishek Jagan 1 for 10 as Lytham were dismissed for 69 in 39.4 overs.
This seemed a comfortable total but Sefton were in for a shock as they fell to 11 for 5 in reply. Paul Horton joined Matt Young and they were able score an undefeated 60 runs to steer Sefton to victory. Paul finished with 26 not out and Matt 29 not out.
The First XI's fourth win moves them up to fifth in the table.

The Second XI travelled to play Lytham.
Here, Lytham won the toss and decided to field.
A stand of 30 for the second wicket between Andy Aitchison (22) and James Whittaker (16) was the best of their innings. Sarhad Rustom scored 21 and Shadab Khan held the tail together with 33 as Sefton were all out for 152 in 47.4 overs.
For Lytham's reply, Sefton's bowlers were always on top. Michael Kelly took 3 for 35 and Mark Chappell 3 for 13 to dismiss Lytham for 83 in the 31st over.
The Second XI are now 4th in the table and play Wallasey at home next week.
The Third XI played Northern on the Lower Ground. Sefton batted first and a strong batting line up managed to score 274 for 5 declared in 45 overs. James Daniels scored 96, Scott Aitchison 93 not out and Mark Boyns 32.
In reply, Northern were dismissed for 211 with Ronan Brady taking 6 for 45 and Sam Parkinson 3 for 24.

Unfortunately the 4th XI's trip to Prescot to play Superkings fell victim pf the overnight rain.
